It was reported that in some cases the installation of the Excel ADDIN fails. This is due to the fact that the Microsoft Office Addins folder containing application add-ins is protected on write access.
Try the following:
- Reboot your PC. This is to ensure that Microsoft Office was not started. Do not start Excel or Word or Powerpoint.
- Locate the Microsoft Office ADDIN folder, it should be here: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns
- Copy the file "IR Quiz Editor - addin.xlam" located in this sharepoint to that folder.
- You need to (re)activate the add-in. Open Excel application, then 'File' then 'Options' then 'Add-ins' then on the manage section click on the button 'Go'. If the file name "IR Quiz Editor - addin" appears then select it. If it does not appear then click on the button 'browse' selecting the file. => the add-in is activated and installation is done.
